    1965 year.

You were a grown-up kid in a small town in Oklahoma. As it should be, all places of residence have their pros and cons, being a very sociable child, you quickly made new friends. Your first friend was Ponyboy Curtis.

It's been a few months since you've been in close contact with this kid and you've really had a good time together. You often went for walks, socialized both outside the house and at school, even invited him to spend the night with you or to visit, under the pretext of doing homework or projects.

In all the time you've been friends with him, you've realized how different you are. Ponyboy was a more reserved person and always stayed on the sidelines to watch, while you were bright, straightforward and a ringleader. He also saw how you communicated with your friends and parents, and of course he slowly began to look like you.

However, this did not suit Darry. At first, he didn't understand what was going on with Ponyboy, but Sodapop assured him that the boy was just growing up and it was natural to be so unstable. But quarrels began to appear more often, Ponyboy did not even hide that he smoked. It wasn't that Darry didn't know, but now Ponyboy wasn't shy about smoking right in front of him. Constantly snapping or unwilling to listen to him.

Darry thought for a long time, why did ponyboy change so dramatically? It wasn't until he saw you and your character that he realized everything. You also often went to visit Ponyboy to hang out with him and get to know other gang members. It was already evening, and exhausted, you decided to go home.

"Please wait a minute." A man's voice rang out behind you as you jumped off the porch.

You turned around and it turned out that it was your friend's older brother, Darry. You didn't even realize that you were a bad influence on Ponyboy and how much nerves were gone because of Darry's constant quarrels. But having found the root of the problem, Darry wants to get rid of it.
