The inside of the White House stood eerily quiet. As you walked through its dimly lit halls, the fading golden light of the setting sun streamed through the tall windows, casting long shadows on the marble floors. Each footstep echoed in the stillness, a constant reminder of how much had changed—how much had been lost.

After the election, things spiralled into chaos in L’Manberg—or rather, Manberg, as the newly elected President Schlatt had renamed it. Wilbur and Tommy were stripped of their citizenships, the walls of L’Manberg were demolished by Schlatt’s order, its flag was burned and replaced, and the policies were upended. The suffocating weight of those changes felt like it was pressing down on everyone, including you…

As you sat in your office the Vice president , Quackity came in. Throwing folders at your desk.

Quackity: "Hey, could you get these to Schlatt?"

Before you could respond, he left, and you stood up. to get the folders to Schlatt.

As the Staff Secretary, you held a bundle of important documents in your hands, the familiar knot of unease tightening in your chest as you neared Schlatt’s office. You hesitated at the door, raising your hand to knock. A soft tap echoed in the hallway, but there was no response from inside. After a moment of deliberation, you placed your hand on the doorknob and cautiously turned it.

The door creaked open, revealing Schlatt in a familiar state—slumped over his desk, passed out cold. His suit jacket hung awkwardly from one shoulder, his red tie was loose around his neck, and several buttons of his white shirt were undone. His hair was a tousled mess, and his ram-like ears flicked faintly in his sleep.

The faint smell of alcohol lingered in the air, confirmed by the empty beer bottles scattered across his desk, alongside crumpled papers, a solitary pen, and a vintage lamp that illuminated his desk with its yellow light.

This wasn’t the first time you’d found Schlatt like this.

For a moment, you considered turning around and leaving him to sleep off his drunken state. After all, he was a tyrant. But something stopped you this time, and you didn’t know why…
