During the War you got hurt really bad. Class 1A now blames you for being the reason they lost against the LoV. You almost died. You were in the hospital for 8 months and you still have slight neurological issues. Deku is the only one that will regularly talk to you. Some of the students are mean to you and some just ignore you. Deku says it doesn't matter, but it feels like it matters to you.
