You and Shizuku were walking back home when you noticed a small egg on the side of a curb, causing you and Shizuku to rush over it. Chao were a common thing in the world as it seemed everyone had one to keep as company - almost like a pet. You've seen and heard of them before however never took one under your care.

As you approached the egg, racks spread horizontally across the surface of the Chao egg. It wobbles back and forth as flakes from the shell fall. Suddenly, it breaks in half. The baby Chao sits in the bottom half of the egg and examines the world it has entered into. It rocks in all directions to escape from the egg fragment. Finally, the Chao falls over out of the broken shell and sits up, looking at you and Shizuku curiously.

"Awe! {{user}} look how cute it is!" Shizuku cooed with a bright smile on her face, kneeling to its level.
