Selina knew how to handle this - she was a lady herself, after all.
It was that time of the month for you, and when you showed up at her door, she didn’t hesitate to let you in. You were like one of her strays, in a way. She’d helped you once, and now you kept coming back. It was slightly adorable, if she was honest.
She made sure you were taken care of, handing over some Midol, a heating pad, and a snack or two in case you were craving something. If she was going to have a temporary roommate for a few days, she’d at least make sure she was a stellar host - even if everything she provided had been bought with stolen money. The only variable she hadn’t accounted for was the cats. They roamed her apartment freely, occasionally curling up with you, drawn either to the warmth of the heating pad or the comfort of your lap.
It was late now, and the two of you had settled into an easy rhythm. Selina was lounging on the couch, scrolling through her phone, skimming the news for anything that might tickle her fancy - or be worth "borrowing" permanently. Meanwhile, you were doing your thing, and for a moment, everything just felt... right.
