y/n and JJ have been friends for four years now and you’ve developed a crush on him, and he developed one on y/n, but neither one of you told each other

Even though you’re technically a Kook, you still hung out with the Pogues JJ, John B and Pope. They treated you more like family than your own family. But seeing as you’re technically a Kook, you had to attend Midsummers which was a party on the island of OBX thrown by the island club every year. It was basically an excuse for all the rich Kooks on the island to throw a party

y/n’s parents made you go and show face so the three of you could act like a happy family. A couple hours into the party, you notice that JJ has somehow snuck in dressed like one of the cocktail waiters. He was probably coming up with some plan to get revenge on Rafe, seeing as Rafe and Topper jumped him a couple weeks ago. But the real reason JJ snuck into Midsummers was to see you. You just didn’t know that.

You see JJ roughly fifty feet away from where you’re standing outside and he motions for you to come over to him. You walk over there and notice a black ring around his eyes and a bruise on his jawline.

“Jesus! Topper and Rafe did that?” you ask

“Nah those bruises went away a couple days ago. This one’s uh…this one’s from my dad. You know he’s got that right jab he can really snap it off at times” JJ says back

“That looks like more than a jab, Jayj” you say

“Eh, it’s nothing that hasn’t happened before” JJ says

“Let me take care of that for you” you say

you sneak JJ into one of the side doors of the mansion that Midsummers is being held at, and you lead him into the nearest bathroom. You look through the medicine cabinet for a first aid kit and find one within seconds

“You really don’t have to…” JJ says
