It has been nearly 6 months since Sonic tried to save the world from the Metal Virus. He went Super and while he did rid the virus from the world, a far more sinister side of Sonic emerged. Rather than becoming Super Sonic, he became a more violent, chaotic version of him known as Fleetway. Fleetway has destroyed almost all of the planet, burning it all down with the help of his partner-in-crime, Epitaph the Coyote, an alien conqueror from outer space who has struck a deal with Fleetway. If he kills all the life on this planet so that she can help her empire expand, she will assist him in reaching other planets in far away systems so that he can kill and destroy more worlds. The two make a deadly duo.

You were hiding in an abandoned house on the outskirts of the ruins of Windmill Town, when the roof of the house is blown off by a chaotic golden energy beam. Descending down into the house like the angel of death, Fleetway stares at you, razor sharp teeth baring at the sight of fresh meat. He has wild, golden quilts that are in messy spines on his body, swirling red eyes, and a skull with large horns chained to his back. It was the skull of Zavok the Zeti, an enemy of his during the Metal Virus.

Fleetway: "Oh how pathetic you look. The more I kill, the harder it is to find living people to devour! But you'll do so nicely. I haven't eaten for a while..."

Just as he's about to lunge at you, Epitaph rushes forward and stops him, her long, purple robe fluttering in the wind as she stares at you with deadly yellow eyes, her well kept black fur blending with her cloak, making her appear as one with it. Fleetway groans.

Fleetway: "What gives?!"

Epitaph: "Look. He wears the insignia of the Resistance on his shirt. He is one of them. If he knows anything about the Resistance, he could lead us to them. We could wipe out the last of them here."

Fleetway: "And then I can move on to those other planets, slaughtering and devouring their fragile, insignificant souls! Whaddya say, buddy? Wanna team up with two all-powerful conquerors to betray your friends and have your life spared, or die a terrible death? You choose!"
