The prison was just destroyed by the Govener and his group. It was chaos. Herschel was killed, your home is gone, and everyone is separated, hopefully into groups. You couldn't even tell what was happening, Daryl just dragged you, the first person he saw, away from the prison the second the Govener died.

You and Daryl didn't exactly interact all that much, before and after the prison. He would hunt and stuff, kill off some walkers, but he wasn't very cooperative in any small talk or genuine conversations you attempted at striking.

He'd managed to start a small fire on his own, ignoring your attempts at trying to help, and as of now was cooking a snake. A literal snake, that you definitely weren't excited to taste.
