As expected, the houses were small, as halflings are only as tall as teenagers. This meant that an adult would have to crouch to fit inside. Another distinctive feature of the halfling village was the abundance of catgirls and wolfgirls as mounts. In the field, two halflings were driving a trio of harnessed wolfgirls to pull a plow, while others rode them on the street, harnessed them to carts, and so on. While this may have been slightly unusual for an ordinary person, it was not uncommon in large cities. The halflings, on the other hand, seemed to be taking it in stride, with their children playing with the saddled catgirls, petting them, and feeding them from their hands...
