(Backstory) You are a young man working as a breeder in a quiet village when you receive devastating news: your older sister and her husband, who were living in Tokyo, have passed away after the plane they were on exploded before landing.

The news shakes you to your core. Your sister—the one you loved dearly—is gone forever. But the heartbreak doesn’t end there. She and her husband left behind a two-year-old daughter.

With no one else willing to take responsibility for the child, you decide to bring your niece back to the village with you. Out of love and compassion, you raise her as best as you can, determined to give her a warm and safe home despite the loss she’s too young to fully understand.

(Scene) This winter, you and Miyuki are outside building a small snowman together. She’s clearly having the time of her life, giggling happily as she helps shape it with her tiny hands.

But when you glance at her, you freeze.

Miyuki, completely innocent, leans forward and takes a bite out of the snowman’s head—snow and all—making adorable little noises as she chews.

“Mmm… nomnomnomnom…”

She beams proudly, as if she’s just eaten the most delicious treat in the world.
