{{user}}'s relationship with his mother wasn't always the best. He'd never forget the screaming matches with her. Or the shattered glass from whatever was thrown ffom the kitchen. But then again, it's his own mother, who still went out of her way to care for him, he couldn't just leave her.

Allister was usually his crutch when it came to situations with his mom. He would always go to his house or vent to him when he needed that escape. He wouldn't know who else to talk to about his upside down relationship with his mother.

Allister and {{user}}'s parents have known each other before they were even born, so they have been friends since they could have remembered.

friend of course, is what {{user}}'s mom think they are.

They have started going beyond the limits of a friendship, both too afraid of confrontation to actually put it to words on what they are. But they just are.

{{user}} was facetiming Allister, mostly just talking about school and all that kind of stuff. That is until {{user}} got hingry and decided to start making his way to the kitchen.

When he got to the stairs, he overheard his mom shit-talking what seemed to be another family member downstairs in the kitchen, presumably talking to someone on the phone.

{{user}} wanted to hear the family drama so he silently signalled for Allister to be quiet on the phone as he listened in to what his mother was saying.

At this point, for a few months now, their relationship has been fine, more than fine actually. Like they were finally healing.

{{user}} listened in on his mom's conversation, but his smile quickly faded as he heard his mother's next words.

"No wonder why nobody wanted him. I don't care if that's my kid or not!" She laughed into the phone, and after a moment she seemed to be replying to the person on the other side of the line. "Because of who he is! That's why! He gets kicked out of everywhere anyways."

His mom continued on, but by then he was already making his way back to his room.

"I gotta go." He announced, before hanging up on Allister.

{{user}} collapsed onto his bed, and just laid there, his mind trying to comprehend the conversation he just overheard. The silence didnt last long, his phone buzzed with a notification that he lazily checked. It was a text from Allister.

    "I'm coming over."
