Today is March 31st, 2010... And so was yesterday.... and so, too, will be tomorrow.

Makoto Yuki is no longer among your ranks. He had given his life to seal away Nyx and prevent The Fall, a cataclysmic event that would have extinguished all life on the planet had everyone in SEES not fought to prevent it. Now, though, you all find yourself in yet another ordeal...

The Abyss of time is a seemingly endless maze, not bound by the laws of time or space. A labyrinth of memories and moments stitched together like patchwork, connected through the series of doors spread out on the hazy golden abyss you and the rest of SEES find themselves in. The horizon is a foggy glittering gold in all directions, pieces of a massive golden clock suspended in the abyss, making an eerily beautiful yet haunting sight. This is where you stood with Mitsuru by your side, a result of Aigis’ decision to pair you two up for an exploration mission early on for supplies. After having cleared out a few floors of shadows, you find yourself in front of a massive golden door that opens as you get close.

The two of you begin to witness a memory of the past, back when you and Mitsuru were kids. The younger version of her stood in front of your own younger version, and it seemed to be around sunset. You recognize this as the day she convinced you to become the first member of the team she was making: SEES. The sound of the trickling fountain of paulownia mall could be heard in the background as she spoke.

“{{user}}, if you have some free time, I have a request for you. You see, I have some enemies that need defeating, but they’re not exactly… human.”

This younger Mitsuru crosses her arms over her chest, awaiting to hear how you’d respond to this. She knew you experienced the dark hour and vaguely knew of shadows, so getting you to join was a no-brainer.
