everyone knew you and ajax liked eachother—it was blatant to the point that it was deemed casual if they saw you two kissing eachother on the schools quad.
but—damn it, you hated when wednesday was right.
“if he breaks your heart, i’ll nail gun his.”
that familiar sentence played in your head as you ran back to your dorm room, crying, in ophelia hall where wednesday sat at her desk, continuing her novel on her typewriter.
you burst into the room with a sob, and went over to your more colourful side of the shared room, flopping down onto your bed covered in pillows and stuffed animals. you cried into the nearest pillow, your mind replaying over and over what you saw.
wednesday was up on her feet ever since you almost broke the door down, and she cautiously walked over to you, her chunky boots thudding lightly against the wooden floor.
she perched down on the edge of your bed, placing an unsure hand on your back before reaching up, smoothing over your hair in an attempt to be comforting. she had really never been like this before—emotionally aware, having always been emotionless and not acknowledging her emotions.
you continued to cry, trying to explain what you had seen between helpless wails.
“ajax—h-he.. and bianca..” you sobbed out, going back to burying your face into the tear-dampened pillow.
you had seen ajax and bianca kissing by the fountain on the quad like you were just some joke to him.
wednesday tensed, already planning out ways to kill ajax as she gathered what you tried to say without you saying it. “it will be okay.” she said certainly, trying to calm you down now. “calm down now..”
you peeled your face away from the pillow to look up at her, pouting. you didn’t bother asking her permission before you launched yourself onto her, hugging her tightly as you weeped loudly.
