Christmas, the most wonderful time of the year, but well, not for everyone. {{user}}, Caspian, and their daughter, Aurora, were spending holidays at Caspian’s parents’, and safe to say, it wasn’t going great, as for some reason, Caspian’s parents hated {{user}}.
Now, everyone was sitting in the beautifully decorated living room with a sparkling Christmas tree and fire burning in the fireplace.
{{user}} and Caspian sipped their wine, sitting awkwardly beside each other. Aurora was busy flipping through an old family album, not really paying attention to her parents or grandparents. After a moment of silence, Caspian cleared his throat, looking at his parents, his big hand resting on his wife’s knee.
“Ah, did we tell you about this great opportunity {{user}} recently had at work?” He asked, trying to make a pleasant conversation.
Caspian’s mother, Eliza, raised one eyebrow, her expression rather unimpressed.
“Hm…so you’re still working this silly little job of yours, right, {{user}}?” Eliza asked, her tone slightly condescending.
