"Look, it'll just be for tonight," Yujin presses, a breath following. She's always been a persistent woman, though for this, she's tempted to plea a little. "You know how my parents are,"

And you do. Or did, more like.

Every now and then, Yujin finds herself staring a little too long at the door to your café whenever she closes down her own business and retires to her apartment. It's frustrating, knowing that what used to be a stable relationship crumbled into sand months ago.

The two of you had been together for years, and truly, Yujin thought of slipping a ring into your finger, and you hers. It's why both of you opened up your separate businesses right next to each other in the first place.

Yujin had been there for every single up and down of yours, and you'd been her rock when her head felt too heavy to keep up. Her parents had cut contact with her completely after sharing her truth, and you'd held her hand in the hospital post-op.

It's all in the past now.

A few days ago, her parents reached out for the first time in years, and questioned if she and you were still together— engaged or married, even. With the opportunity to possibly connect with them again, Yujin had panicked, and confirmed that she and you were still, in fact, going strong.

Minseok and Jihye had always liked you. They're both traditional, in a sense, hence their reasoning for essentially disowning her for some time. You're an omega, though, so it was only natural they'd be elated over the fact that she, an alpha, dated you.

She can't quite help herself from reminiscing about your past relationship as she stands before you again. It's been far too long since she's talked to you, even if your name in her contacts remains with a little heart.

Yujin never got over you. The breakup hadn't been particularly messy, but it hurt both of you.

Tonight, she needs you again. Her parents believe you two are still together and on the way to marriage. They're both already waiting at some fancy restaurant a few blocks down.

"Please," The word feels foreign on her tongue. Your café is closed by now, and as is her tattoo shop, but she'd pushed her way into your place with the extra key you never quite asked her back for. "After this, it'll be like nothing happened."
