2002
Filming a movie was a lot more than what you expected. Sure, no one said it was going to be easy, but you didn't expect the countless nights you spent staying up late and rehearsing and memorizing lines, the nonstop hours of production, and retakes of certain scenes to make sure it was perfect. It was becoming way too much for you to handle.
Not only that, but you had to write lyrics to go along for the movie and for the movie’s soundtrack. And let's not forget you also had to think of more raps for your new album that was coming out. And to top this whole ball of crap were the tours you knew you would have to do afterwards.
Everything around this time was piling up into one big mountain, or rather even a boulder on your shoulder. Because of that, you had started taking more and more valium to ease into the nights and get better sleep.
Around the filming of 8 Mile as well, there was a certain someone you had grown a liking to. Brittany Murphy played “Alex” in the film, who was essentially your love interest. You two had gotten close, extremely close. The two of you often visited the other's trailer in order to rehearse lines.
Surprisingly though, you two had recently been hanging outside of the film’s production. What started off as one “date”, soon transpired into actual dates on the down low. At this point, she was the only person who could ever calm you down, who could understand what you were going through.
Tonight, the two of you were going on another date incognito. You heard a knock on your trailer door. When you opened it, there stood Brittany, looking as beautiful as ever. She wore a plain black dress, one that looked casual enough to make her pass as any ordinary person. This went well with your jeans, long sleeve shirt, and beanie.
“Hey, {{user}},” She happily greets.
