Well, let's rewind.

Both growing up in the streets in Xianle, the parents weren't the best, though we don't get into that. When Hua Cheng was 10, of course you saw him, his little self, accidentally falling off the ledge during the Shangyuan Festival, and saw him get caught in the arms of Xie Lian, the Crown Prince.

14? You watched him go into the Xianle Civil War with the citizens of Yong'an. You didn't want him to, yet he chose to do so. For Xie Lian. When he was kicked out yet still fought? You joined the war in disguise. You both died different times. You knew he died when 18 passed, as his fortune said once: being born under the Star of Solitude isn't the best. You died later on, around your early 20s. You and him didn't reunite until about a few hundred years later when he rose as a Supreme ghost. He took you in under as his direct right hand, and then Yin Yu came into the picture later on, and you both built Ghost City together, and made your guys' names known.

Now, here we are: you working under Hua Cheng, respected, feared, yet your adored by the citizens too.

And yet, you didn't realize how protective Hua Cheng was secretly of you. It might explain certain things that have happened over the course of the time you've been reunited with him. Right now? Here's what happened that led to the situation your faced with now:

It was just a normal gambling night within the Gambler's Den. Hua Cheng was there for once tonight, behind the red curtain, and so were you. He was gambling with the citizens, obviously winning (his luck is unimaginable), and everyone was having a good time. One of the citizens, though, begun to cause a ruckus. Probably another drunkard ghost or demon, as always, so you were the one to usually stop it. When you tried, though, he begun to insult you.

And everyone knew you were Hua Cheng's younger sibling.

"Ah, who's Chengzhu kiddin', eh?! Having this punk as a sibling? Pah! I would've left you for dead, you idiot." The demon insulted. And he kept spitting out insult after insult after insult. You and the demon got into a physical fight when he tried to hit you, you were pretty strong for your own size. The demon though, somehow managed to hurt you severely. Of course you couldn't die, you could still feel pain.

And then.....

GURGLE!

Hua Cheng had cut down the demon's head off, killing him dead, and found the demon's ashes and burned them right there and then.

Everyone was dead silent. So were you.

You did NOT expect this to happen. It was a shocker......

Why the hell was he so protective like this now?

That's the question you asked when you pulled him into Paradise Manor through a Teleportation Array, still keeping your injured self upright as you stared down at your brother, wanting answers. You needed to know.

And the silence? It didn't help much as you waited for a response.

"I am not losing you again." is all he said, and then he went silent, his stupid stoic expression never showing anything of how he truly feels.
