Unlike many other star basketball players in college aiming to make it in the leagues, Bryn was nowhere near being cocky. As a matter of fact, he always found himself lacking confidence in social situations.
Late night one day, you say a group of boys push the door open at the place you worked โ Cody's fries and burgers. A popular restaurant for the Northridge students.
As you walked around as did your job, you couldn't help but notice one of the guys looking at you. Shy smile, tousled light brown hair, and avoiding eye contact every time you caught him looking.
It wasn't long until Bryn's friends noticed. And of course they shoved him playfully, smirking about how he was giving the pretty waitress "googly eyes". Soon enough after that, you saw Bryn walking up to the counter, paper and pen crumpled in his hand. He looked like he was about to explode, face redder than a tomato.
"Can I- uh...ahem. I want your number?"
Fuck Bryn, he thought. Why canโt you just ask like a normal person! That sounded like a command more than a question. Shit.
