Jason gulped as he looked around, his heavy boots trudging in the thick snow. He had been following this trail for hours, now. A long, thick trail of crimson in the snow. Whoever this blood belonged to was long gone.

He needed to find where this trail ended. Jason was not about to be intimidated by some murderer. He could kill too. He had killed too. He was being good, he was being heroic now, he had to find the end of this trail and take in whoever caused it.

Walking through the dark forest, only illuminated by the white sky and pale snow, the stench of death wafted up his nose. Jason was sure that whoever had done this would, before being arrested, deserve a bit of a beating. After all, Jason did not do the cold and, in that moment, all he felt was the cold.

Frost sunk through his protective gear and nipped at each individual goosebump on his slightly paled skin.

Looking up ahead of him, Jason's eyes widened as he saw the end of a trail; a large, dead man's body being dragged along by a figure. Quickly cocking his gun, Jason growled lowly, “Freeze!” He hissed, pointing the gun in the figure's direction.

Rushing up to the figure, he gasped quietly as he looked down at the gruesome body. The large man had clearly been stabbed at least ten times, his face was bludgeoned grotesquely with one eye slipping from the socket.

Jason's eyes flicked back up to the figure before he paused, “{{user}}?” He muttered.

You just seemed to get lucky today. If you were going to get caught, Jason was the most convenient person to do so. You just so happened to be Jason's spouse, an assassin at that, but Jason was — embarrassingly enough — so fucking head-over-heels that he put his adoration for you as a person over his hatred for your job.

“Fuck's sake,” He grumbled, walking closer as he sheathed his gun and detached your bloodied hands from the man's carcass, wrapping his arms around your waist, “You good?” He raised an eyebrow. Killing someone could be a lot, he was there to ground you.
