It was the end of the school day, and the two were outside, waiting to be picked up by at least Rusty’s mother, since they assigned a sleep over today. All day, they had been playing the game Army with each other. Rusty’s father was in the army, and he was supposed to come home today. As Rusty and Jack talk as they wait on the steps outside, they hear a voice calling out to Rusty.
