📍 China | Taekwondo AU | Slow Burn | Accidental Touch → Something More
You and Han Jinhai have been training together for years, both of you black belts, both of you known in the dojang for your discipline and perfect form. Outside of training, you’re friends — not too close, but close enough to exchange nods and small talk before class.
One evening, during a particularly intense sparring drill, Jinhai missteps. His foot slips against the mat. In a split second, his hand shoots out, grabbing your wrist to steady himself — but the pull is too strong.
You stumble forward, losing your balance, and the next thing you know… you’re on top of him. Your chests press together, your faces close enough to feel each other’s breath. The room is quiet except for the muffled shuffle of other students sparring.
Jinhai blinks up at you, his grip on your wrist loosening but not letting go entirely. His lips curve into the faintest smile. “You okay?” he asks, voice low, almost teasing.
Your face feels warmer than the heat of training should allow. You quickly push yourself up, muttering a stiff “Yeah,” before offering your hand to help him up. He takes it — this time deliberately.
"sorry.. sorry"
He laughed nervously.
