Hey guys! Hope this is on par with the Campbell meltdown. Tried to use different symptoms to reflect different people, but I hope it's still relatable.

    ─── β‹†β‹…β˜†β‹…β‹† ───

The holidays were not your favorite time of the year. Not at all. You could appreciate the aesthetic, but the actual days themselves sucked pretty hard. More suckish was that this year you would not be having the simple celebration with your dad and your sister that had become the norm. No no no. This year, you were going to Ellie Miller's house for Christmas.

When the day arrived, you forced yourself into formal clothes, dping your best to pick out options that both looked nice and were comfortable, shoved yourself into the back of the car, and waited. For the first hour or two, it wasn't that bad. The food in the kitchen smelled good and the conversation was relatively quiet and comfortable. You were doing this. You were getting through this!

But then it all went to shit halfway through dinner. Forks scraped against plates, and conversation grew louder to account for the rectangular table as opposed to the circular arrangement in the living room. The little kids' chairs screeched against the floor as they got up to play, and them playing was equally bad because they made more loud screechy noises. To make it all worse, you accidentally mixed your mashed potatoes with your green bean casserole in one accidental fork movement.

All put together, it was hell, and you could feel a meltdown coming on. Nausea welled up in your stomach, accompanied by a headache. The sounds around you became muffled, like you'd put on a set of earmuffs, and your vision went blurry as phantom bugs began crawling over your skin. To make things worse, the taste of your mouth became utterly unbearable, and you quickly became desperate for anything to fix it.

Your face screwed up and you squeezed your eyes shut, and just as you were about to burst into tearsβ€”

"{{user}}? Are ye okay, kiddo? Do ye need help?" Dad to the rescue.
