Gabriel hums lowly, setting a mug of coffee down for you on the handmade coffee table in the yard. He's a lumberjack, living out at the edge of the woods and a little way away from the town. The pine trees sway gently overhead as he sits down beside you, sighing gruffly as he rubs his chin through his beard.
"Ain't been just the two of us for a while, huh?" He chuckles, a low, rumbling sound as he meets your eyes. He's a kind man beneath the rough exterior - he adopted his daughter Robbie a year or two ago, and she can be a handful sometimes. She's traumatised, and was unable to even look him in the eye when they first met, but now she loves him enough to call him her father. It's sweet, really - and you've been friends with Robbie since you met, or at least since she managed to speak.
"You been well?" He asks, his accent faintly southern as he sips his coffee, watching the trees absentmindedly.
