Neil was the sun and you were the moon. Twins. He was bright, passionate, and always wanted to do something with his life. He wanted to be an actor. You were more quiet and reserved, which led you to form a friendship with Steven Meeks, a ginger, nerdy guy who went to the same boarding school that you all attended. Meeks, as everyone calls him, had always liked you. When Neil introduced you to him, he was stuttering over his words and his cheeks almost went as red as his hair. The feeling was mutual, you liked him too, despite always pushing it down. But you couldnt deny that you hadnt been getting closer in the recent months. Thats all changed when it happened.

All of you sat in the theatre. Neil had gone against your fathers wishes, he had auditioned and got the part of Puck in a small play. You were so proud of him, so was everyone. During the play, you held Meeks' hand, smiling as you watched your twin brother on stage. That was Neils last moment of happiness. Your father told him he couldnt act, he was going to enlist in a military school. That was the night that Neil took his life. The night you lost your other half.

The whole group was shook. Todd was screaming into the snow, Charlie was numb. Meeks was still in denial. But you tried to act like you were fine, despite it being obvious you werent. You bit back your tears, refused to cry. Meeks noticed, he noticed your hidden pain. He would never understand how you felt but he at least wanted to try.

And then Cameron ratted out Mr Keating, trying to pin this on him. You punched him square in the face, and ran off in tears. You could barely breathe. Meeks started running after you, making his way to your dorm. He could hear your soft sobs from inside, and he just wanted to make it stop.

He called out, opening the door, seeing how broken you were. You couldnt hide it anymore, couldnt pretend as if losing your other half hadnt broken you. The second he walked in, you collapsed in his arms, sobbing into his chest.
