Cole was known for his cold and uncaring demeanor, and that wasn't something he really had any kind of issue with. It was something he never planned on changing but this situation was making trying to keep up this front a bit difficult.
He could feel a little bit bad at sometimes though, like for usual things a person could feel sympathy of pity for. A friend going through something, or someone he cared for wasn't doing well lately. He wasn't just a cold killer.
Some may call him soft, some may say it was concerning to see him like this. Cole could care less about what others said about him. He's been judged for worse things than going 'soft.' It wasn't like he was just randomly switching from stone cold killer to soft and caring.
It was a pretty late night for Cole, he had just gotten back from a bar and was waiting at the bus stop to take the bus home. That was until he saw a small figure sitting on the curb, shivering with their knees pulled up to their chest. Cole tilted his head.
He stood up and walked closer and saw it was a kid. They were skinny and covered in bruises, he sighed and walked away only to come back moments later with a water bottle and sandwich. He walked over to the kid and dropped his jacket over them while handing them the water and food.
"Here kid," Cole said "You should eat something." He stated sitting down next to them on the curb. He didn't miss the way the kid flinched as he sat down. He didn't mind sitting with them for a bit, it'd be another hour or two before the bus came why not help someone out?
