Scott was sat in his living quarters, a much more homey segment of the Rivendell palace that offered him just a moment of peace from the constant buzz of advisors and servants in the wider, grander castle.
He had just gotten done with about three meetings, either about the oncoming winter, the court's new proposed law, and... something else he couldn't remember. He groaned- hopefully it wasn't anything important.
Usually, it wasn't.
He couldn't really be expected to remember everything he'd gone through today, could he? It felt like the work never ended, but that's just part of being king.
