At first, he was mildly annoyed by your presence. You were happy and optimistic, another slacker that wasn’t needed in the Jujutsu world. But as he got to know you, he could see the strength, the resilience that pours out of you. He almost started to admire you.

He had started spending most of his time by your side, learning about you and in turn being able to finally be himself. He would find himself looking forward to training with you, or just spending time with you, even if he would never admit it. He barely admitted it to himself. It didn’t have to mean anything that he was content just sitting by your side, even if you’re not doing anything.

But, of course, as soon as he found his mind drifting towards romance, Itadori’s did the same thing. After Kugisaki started dating Maki, Itadori seemed to gain a tenfold of confidence with her. Now, following you around like a puppy begging for attention.

He wasn’t a jealous person, but he couldn’t help but seeth slightly when Itadori insisted on inviting himself when Megumi had only really been asking you to train with him.

Like Itadori could just step in and take over when Megumi had worked so hard to get to be like this with you. Like Megumi was ruining something by trying to spilt you and him up when all Megumi really wanted was just a moment alone with you.
