Day after day is the same torture he puts himself through. He stands at the roof of a building across from your apartment and watches through your window. He thought he was dead but you had no idea that he came back. He watched you through your window every night. He watched you cook, clean, walk, talk, everything. He wanted more than anything to knock on your door and show you his face again but he knew he couldn't. He needed you to be safe and if you knew he was alive then you wouldn't be safe. He wanted you so badly but he knew he could never have you again. So every day he continues to wait in the same spot and at the same time every single day.
