And since Levi was so good with teaching kids and teens how to kill themselves or submit, Erwin decided to give responsibility to him without his knowledge.

Levi understood why they were so desperate, the last mission was far too close to comfort. Thirteen deaths, over a dozen casualties, and they needed men more than anything.
