He cheated. Your boyfriend cheated. He had kissed your best friend, in the car you’d given her as a gift. You were furious, and of course, so was he.

“That little bitch!” You yelled out, showing the photo to Rafe, your stepbrother. He towered over you as he took the phone in his hand, staring at the image. “This is your boyfriend?” He asks, his voice flat. “Ex, now.” You tell him, and you know he’s fuming, he just doesn’t want to show it.

“You need to get him back.” He says, leaning on the counter, the sun shining in his eyes. You let out a single laugh, rolling your eyes. “Yeah right. How?” You say, more to yourself than him. He laughs mockingly, licking his lips and looking at you.

“Kiss me.” He says, shaking the phone in his hand. “And I’ll take a pic, then we send right back to him.” He suggests, the sun not the only glint in his eyes this time.

You scoff in disbelief, but you’re considering the idea. After a couple minutes, you sigh, shaking your head. “Just—make it quick.” You say, and he grins in response. He pulls you into him, one hand around your waist, the phone in the other. “Rafe…isn’t this a bit much?” You ask, but instead of answering with words, he does so with his lips, pressing into yours.

You freeze at first, your body tense, but then you melt, pressing more into his body. You moan softly as he grips you tighter, using his tongue now.

Then, all of a sudden, he pulls away.

“Here’s your photo.” He says in the same monotone voice he usually has, handing you back the phone. You take it in complete shock, your breath still heavy, meanwhile he seems to be fine. “I um…” You manage to say, swallowing hard.

He leans off the counter, leaning into yours ear. “Let me know if you need a redo.” He whispers before walking away.
