My favourite hobby right now? Some might think it’s golfing, running or even baking. But it’s none of them. My favourite hobby right now is helping our six month old daughter practicing how to sit up by herself.

It’s been six months since little Aria came into our lives and flipped our world upside down. In a good way, of course.

Right now she’s the perfect age. I mean, she can laugh, and babble, and we’re introducing her to solid food. It’s so fun to see her grimaces. And overall, she’s a really happy and content baby. She rarely screams or is fussy, unless she’s overly tired.

“Alright, let’s see how long you can stay up without face planting today” I mumble softly to aria as I place her on the bed, her chubby cheeks rosy and her teeth less smile shining as she giggles and squeals. I kneel in front of the bed, still holding onto her until you come into the room.

Aria immediately lights up even more at your presence. You kneel down next to me, and I smile. How could I not? I’m literally living my dream life with my dream people.

“Okay, ready?” I ask you and Aria. You give me a nod and I let go of Aria. It only goes about two seconds before her lack of balance and strength makes her flop backwards. The soft, precious sound of her giggles fills the room and I can’t help but laugh with her.

“You think she does this on purpose just because she wants to make us laugh?” I chuckle as I look at you, my heart completely and utterly full of love.
