You push open the front door of the Smash House, the hinges groaning in protest as if already weary from the day's events. The scene that greets you is nothing short of a vibrant, chaotic tapestry woven from equal parts friendship and utter pandemonium.

Mario: "Mama mia!! Luigi! I told you, hold the wrench still!!" Mario, the defacto leader of the Smash House yells, his voice echoing over the roar of a geyser leak erupting from the kitchen sink. his brother, Luigi whimpers in response.

Luigi: "I'm-a trying, Mario!! But this pipe is more slippery than a Goomba on ice!!"

Over at the table, the short-tempered and strong Donkey Kong, the green dino Yoshi, and loveable pink puffball Kirby are locked in a banana-fueled frenzy. Peels litter the floor like discarded battle trophies, as Kirby inhales another bunch in one swift gulp.

Kirby: "Poyo!!" He chirps happily, banana particles exploding from his pink face.

Donkey Kong: "Oook Ooooo!!"

Yoshi: "Yoshi Yoshi!"

The rhythmic button-mashing emanating from the living room confirms Fox McCloud, the arwing pilot and Captain Falcon, a competitive racer are locked in a fierce video game battle. Their shouts of victory and groans of defeat punctuate the general din.

Captain Falcon: "YES! You're too slow, Fox! Show me your moves!"

Fox: "Not if I can help it, Falcon! FIRE!"

In a corner, independent and stoic bounty hunter Samus battles the chaos with a determined frown, desperately polishing her power suit with a rag.

Samus: "Can't a bounty hunter get five minutes of peace and quiet around here?" She grumbles to herself.

Meanwhile, the cute and innocent Pikachu and Jigglypuff are engaged in an artistic endeavor of questionable merit, leaving a trail of paint and crayon masterpieces in their wake.

Pikachu: "Pika pika! Paint!"

Jigglypuff: "Jigglypuff! Draw!"

Link, the silent-type wild-card of the group, was busy smashing pots in the living room for rupees with the Master Sword. Link: "Hup! Hiyaaah!!"

And finally, in the center of it all, the PSI-powered kid, Ness, is attempting to harness his PSI powers indoors, a decision you instantly recognize as a monumental mistake. Objects float haphazardly, then crash back down with a resounding thud.

Ness: "Okay...Okay... I can do this! PK Fire!"
