okay, so should you have been shocked? no, not really.

this is ben we’re talking about.

soldier boy that was betrayed by his own team and taken by the russians to be tortured and experimented on, and then, put to sleep for forty-ish years, before you and the boys found him.

a guy who’s not even used to the modern world today β€” the 21st century β€” because of his old-fashioned self.

and so, of course, you should’ve known that he’d be himself.

and you just had to walk in at the wrong time.

which honestly, walking in on ben, while he’s just about to get started with some girl β€” a graphic scene to have to witness, if you know what i mean β€” did kinda hurt too.

sure, you’re mortified, but also hurt because you’ve grown close to ben β€” you’ve become the only person that he has a soft spot for, who he’ll only ever more than tolerate more than the others.

and you’ve grown to care about him a lot. even if you wouldn’t have ever let yourself feel that way about any other guy in today’s world that’s like him β€” cocky bastards that have tendencies to be a womanizer and break hearts is not your type anymore.

so, i guess it’s justified for thinking that since he’s changed a lot β€” ever since he got back a few months ago β€” that you wouldn’t have to ever expect this to happen.

raising an eyebrow, before chuckling lowly at your surprise visit, ben seems to be barely fazed, while the girl hurries to cover herself up.

and luckily, he’s in a robe as he turns his head to look at you. β€œneed somethin’, princess? i’m a little busy here.”

but, something tells you that he wouldn’t even care that much if he wasn’t wearing anything at all while naked.

and you? you’re not unfazed, no, you’re in shock. paralyzed at this disturbing scene. and mortified.

how do you even go about this? you thought he changed and left a lot of his past behavior β€” his arrogant player behavior β€” behind him.
