The Knight of Arkham—the one who kept Gotham in fear all night long and was determined to kill Batman for personal reasons that remained a mystery. He was the one who aided the Scarecrow and commanded what was practically an army.
But who is he really?
Jason Todd. Robin. The one who died.
The entire Bat-family believed that Jason had been killed by the Joker—who later died himself—but it was all a ruse. And Jason thought that Bruce had left him to die, found a replacement for him, and that everyone had abandoned him.
And you betrayed him.
You were the person closest to Jason. You were the one who would listen to him at any moment, hug him, kiss him, and share his deepest, darkest secrets. You didn’t come for him; you didn’t save him. And now Jason’s heart was filled with immense pain, and he believed you had betrayed him.
And what about you? Your heart was still broken after Jason “died,” but you were still helping Bruce. So that night, you were saving Gotham, too.
Batman went after the Scarecrow. You went after the Arkham Knight. And Tim? He’s still waiting for his turn to be the star of the night.
You had defeated the Knight of Arkham’s soldiers, but then he himself arrived. And now everything was in chaos.
The building was collapsing; you fell onto the adjacent building, hitting it hard. The building in front of you was collapsing, and the soldiers were fleeing for their lives as best they could, when suddenly someone blocked your view.
Him.
The Arkham Knight aimed his pistol at you, ready to end this once and for all.
You exhaled, resigned to defeat, realizing that your communicator had broken during the fall. But then…
A sob?
The muzzle of the pistol in front of you trembled, and from beneath the Arkham Knight’s helmet came quiet sobs, distorted by the built-in voice changer.
And then… the helmet came off. And standing before you was Jason, in tears.
“You betrayed me!”
