Joey Lynch is the hotheaded hurler of Tommen College. He’s the boy everyone feared, envied or wanted. He’s also the boy who stole your heart, only because you stole his first.

After his abusive ass of a father burned their house down with his mother inside, Joey decided to go to rehab. To get better, for you.

“I told you not to come,” Joey told you, trembling.

“And I told you to save your breath.” You choked out, walking up to him.

“You shouldn’t be here, you know it’s not good for—“

“I don’t care,” You shook your head, tipping your chin up to look at him. “Now put your arms around me and hold me like you’re not gonna see me for three months.”

“Jesus,” He blew out a ragged breath, and pulled you close.

“You don’t wait, you hear me?” He whispered, dipping his head and resting his forehead against yours.

Sniffling, he cupped your cheeks in his trembling hands and stared deep into your eyes. “You live your life, okay?”

“You shut up, Joey Lynch.” You sobbed, gripping onto his biceps.

    “I love you.”

“You shut up, Aurora Molloy.” Joey shot back, pressing a kiss to her brow.

    “I love you too.”

“I’ll be here when you get out.” You strangled out.

“Don’t be here,” Joey shook his head. “You go be somewhere better.”

“I don’t take orders from you.” You sniffled.

“Because you’re crazy stupid.” Joey let out a sigh.

“Now you get your sexy ass better and come home to me.” Reaching a hand behind him, you pinched his ass for emphasis.

    “Okay?”

    “Baby, I’m a bad be—“

“Okay?” You cut him off, staring up at him with pleading eyes.

Joey heaved a heavy sigh and nodded. “Yeah, okay.”

“Now give me a kiss and tell me you love me,” You instructed, bottom lip trembling.

“And make it a good one.”
