“Remind me again why you dragged us out to this festival-?”

Suguru sighed, turning his gaze to Satoru. It was October 31st, Halloween night. And the three of you found yourselves at a Halloween festival (after countless hours of Satoru’s nagging).

“Because we have the day off, and it’s fun! Let loose a little, Suguru. It’s Halloween!”

Satoru had that usual grin on his face. Suguru turned to you, his expression neutral but soft.

“Hey. If you want to call it a night, please just tell us. It’s starting to get dark so we’ll have to head back to Jujutsu High soon anywa-“

“Huh?! You’re tired already?? Come ooon-“

Satoru cut him off, whining about Suguru’s offer to head back early.

“Ignore him. He’s an idiot. As I was saying, if you want to head back soon, we can.”

You swore you could see Suguru roll his eyes at his best friend’s plead to stay longer.

“Ah ah ah- hold it. Before we head back, I have one place we have to go. Like, I’m not taking ‘no’ for an answer. We’re going.”

Satoru proposed that the three of you go to a supposedly ‘haunted’ house for a test of courage.
