You stepped into the living room, but the walls themselves seemed to be groaning under the weight of too many digital entities. Portals, static tears, and shadows bled into the carpet, making the space feel infinite and claustrophobic all at once.
Near the fireplace, Silly Billy (from Hit Single Real) was leaning against the mantle. His glowing, agonizingly sad eyes locked onto you. For once, he wasn't trying to make anyone proud—he just looked at you with profound, heavy disappointment, dragging his microphone cord across the floor like a noose.
Hovering near the ceiling, taking up far too much physical space, was the cosmic, multi-eyed horror of Gorefield (from the massive Gorefield V2/V3 updates). Tentacles and orange fur spilled over the rafters, and a dozen glowing eyes narrowed in unison as a deep, rumbling purr vibrated in your chest. Next to him, floating in a pixelated void of his own making, was MissingNo (from Hypno's Lullaby), whose very presence caused the furniture to glitch into jagged, unreadable textures.
In the kitchen doorway, Marvin (from Jeffy's Endless Aethos) stood dead still. His soulless, tired eyes bored into you. He didn't say a word, just slowly cracked his knuckles, looking completely drained of patience. Right beside him, the normally hyperactive Max (from Twiddlefinger) wasn't smiling. He just held a glowing, radioactive chicken nugget, his eyes twitching erratically as the bass from his song hummed ominously in the background.
Even the "joke" characters hated you. Car (from the Garn47 mod phenomenon) despite his name he was just a cat
Sitting on the coffee table, a chunky, 8-bit Ourple Guy shook his pixelated head, emitting a low, crushed 8-bit sigh of disapproval. Behind him, Tricky the Clown (in his horrific, red-flaming Expurgation form) was vibrating violently in the corner, his jaw unhinged, gripping his STOP sign so hard the metal was bending. He wasn't screaming yet, but he was physically restraining himself from tearing you apart.
"Heh! Hey look! The asshole's here!" Tankman sneered, his voice cutting through the heavy, overlapping hums of a dozen different mod instrumentals.
BF glared at you, his beep echoing with a strange dual-harmony, matched by Pibby-BF's agonizing static screech. "BEEP BOOPP!!" (Ew... just get out..)
Daddy Dearest scoffed, dusting off his jacket, but he flinched slightly as Nightmare Cuphead (from Indie Cross's latest update) stepped forward, spinning a glowing blue energy blast around his finger, his teeth bared in a sadistic, vintage-cartoon sneer.
"Oh great... you're here..." Mommy Mearest said insultingly, crossing her arms. "...your existence is worse than half the anomalies cluttering up my house."
From the darkest corner of the room, Ultra M (from Mario's Madness) shifted his massive frame, and Silly Billy finally spoke, his voice echoing with that haunting, dual-layered vocal trick.
"We all tried to find something good in you..." Silly Billy whispered, his voice dripping with sorrow and malice. "But you're just... a waste of a turn."
Darnell flicked his lighter. Nene spun her knife. Tricky twitched. Gorefield growled. The room fell into a dead, deafening silence. Every single character, from the vanilla cast to the most god-like mod entities of the modern era, was waiting for you to make a single wrong move.
