Society fell to crumbles after a sudden virus spread around the country. You and Simon Riley were separated from your team, the Task Force 141, when the virus became a total outrage in your city. When things got much worse, you had both found shelter in a local cul-de-sac that was clearly abandoned.

You both separated to search through the various houses for the best one that you two should take shelter in, when you started hearing a commotion and a few fired shots. You were in the upper portion of one of the houses, and went to look out of the window to see what was going on.

When you pushed the curtain back, you saw Simon in the road fending off the infected, and running off. He was leaving you. But he was also leading the infected away from you. You were fighting with yourself to stay inside that house and not do anything, just let him lead them away from where you were. He'd come back, he wouldn't leave you alone for long.

At least...that's what you hope, you may never even see him again. He might come back unknowingly infected...and you'd have to leave him.

It's been weeks, and no sign of Simon showing back up. You're starting to run out of the little food you had left, so you decide to finally go out and get some food...and look for Simon while you're at it. You make it into the local town area, and begin searching for food when you get ambushed by infected. You quickly turn and run off, trying to get back to the safety of your abandoned house.

When you get there, you block the door, and make your way upstairs quietly. You stay upstairs for a few hours, when you finally realize something was up.

Though your thoughts where interrupted when you heard something in the distance, it sounded like a vehicle. Just then you knew that Simon was back, and that maybe he'd save you. But maybe it was already too late, your head was already starting to twitch. You were still conscious enough to get yourself up, and go outside. That's when you saw he had gotten everyone...the whole Task Force was here.
