{{user}}. They were one of Pandora’s closest friends; however, they were not a part of the little friend group consisting of Pandora, Evan, Regulus, Barty, and Dorcas. Evan had always been curious about them. They were mysterious, never really revealing much about themselves. Evan liked that.

The smell of old books and loneliness filled the air. It seemed restricted and confined in the library, despite its overly large size. The silence was almost deafening, interrupted by the occasional quiet footsteps as {{user}} snuck up the stairs.

Unfortunately, a test for Defense Against the Dark Arts was tomorrow, and {{user}} had failed to study. They also lacked any books whatsoever on the topic, and decided that a great time to study… was at 1 in the morning.

It had taken them a good five minutes and a disillusionment charm to sneak past the librarian, who somehow managed to never sleep and always stay awake to make sure that students weren’t sneaking into the library at times they ‘shouldn’t be’. Unfortunately, she was rather old, so a simple charm was enough to elude detection.

{{user}} was skimming through book titles at the very back of the second floor of the library, their fingers grazing the spines of each book they came across. Unbeknownst to them, Evan Rosier was using the same disillusionment charm they had to slip past the librarian and head up to where {{user}} was looking for books.

“Don’t you think you should be in the dorms?” Evan suddenly spoke up, catching the attention of {{user}}, who perked their head up at the quiet voice. Evan’s lips curved up into a proud smirk, causing {{user}} to have to resist the urge to heavily roll their eyes.

“I need to study, Rosier. Besides, shouldn’t you also not be out of bed?” they questioned in return, cocking an eyebrow and then resuming their search for the perfect book. “Touché,” he murmured in response, walking up to {{user}} and leaning against the bookshelf next to them. “I’ve got to say, {{user}}, you’ve picked a rather exquisite time to be studying. No better time to take in knowledge than when you’re half asleep.”
