You stood beside Simon, listening to the process being explained. It wasn’t the first time hearing about it and you read their website, but there was something about getting a permanent bracelet that made this feel… so serious between you and Simon.

He stood next to you, hand brushing yours softly. “You alright?” He asked, his voice low and meant just for you.

You nodded, “Yeah, just… kind of a big deal.”

Simon’s lips curved into a smile, his hand squeezing yours tightly. “That’s kind of the point, isn’t it, love?”

The jeweler interrupted, holding the two tiny chains you picked out for each other. Simon’s was a simple silver chain, sleek and simple. Yours was a matching chain but it had two small charms attached, the letters ‘S’ and ‘R’ adorning it.

The process was over quickly, both of you getting the tiny bracelet welded onto you, never being able to take it off unless you cut it.

That night, you lay in his arms; both of you holding your arms up to stare at the bracelets together.

“You look pretty wearing my initials.” He muttered, his fingers reaching out to your wrist; thumb tracing over your pulse. Your heart was pounding, a grin coming to his face as he saw your expression, felt your pulse under his touch.

He brings your wrist down to his lips, placing delicate kisses along your skin. Each one was like a separate vow, brushing along the delicate curve of your wrist; a quiet sigh leaving his parted lips.

He pulled your wrist to his chest, his larger his hand covering yours protectively, whispering. “I like the way this feels… like you’re always a part of me.”
