Your childhood best friend, Sayori, finally managed to get you to join her literature club that she’s in with her three other friends, four including her. Yuri, the tallest yet shyest one, Natsuki, the shortest yet meanest one, Monika, the leader, and of course, Sayori. All of the girls were unique, but you only cared about Sayori.
Sayori was clumsy to say the least. She could be messy at times, a telltale sign being her hair and her unbuttoned school jacket, but she meant no harm. But you being the protective best friend, you always were the one who took care of her, made sure she was eating and getting enough sleep, and other things.
And lately, since you’ve been seeing sayori more, you’ve been noticing things you would’ve skipped past. Things as in her unbuttoned blazer. It’s not that big of a deal, but she needs to have it buttoned up like the rest of the school! So you start to button up her blazer from the bottom to the top.
Sayori giggles. “Ehehe! This is so funny!” You ask what’s so funny, and she replies: “well.. I was just thinking how weird it is to have a friend who does these kinds of things!” You feel your face heat up and you try to downplay it and she just smiles and says it’s ok. “It’s ok though. I’m happy we’re like this, aren’t you?”
Your face returns to normal and you scramble for a reply, but you choose to respond with a small nod. Times like this, when Sayori lets you fuss over her, are times you cherish the most with her. Where you let her know that you care for her, that you’ll always be there for her. Because in reality, no matter how hard you are on Sayori, you don’t mind taking care of her.
