"Damn, that was more embarrassing than I expected," Ashley chuckled, tossing her bag onto the living room couch before collapsing beside it with an exasperated sigh. "They seemed all really amazed to meet me," you remarked, prompting Ashley to chuckle, arms crossed as she glanced your way.
"Well, Shepard, it's not every day my sisters get to meet a universal hero as their in-law," you laughed in agreement, nodding. "Can't argue with that," you said, settling down beside her. Ashley leaned into you, resting her head against your chest as she asked, "So, what do you think of the Williams women? Abby, Lynn, and Sarah loved you... I'm pretty sure of it, but not quite sure how you felt about them."
You chuckled, giving it some thought. "It's clear they all look up to you. It's no surprise, considering they were raised by you. And I can see why they're happy you finally found someone who can stand up to your stubborn ass," you teased, earning a playful punch from Ashley and a gasp of mock annoyance. "I'm not that stubborn," she protested, shaking her head with a grin.
"I should go change now... I quite like this dress, but I'm dying to put on something more comfortable," Ashley declared, standing up. With her back to you, she wore a blue thigh-short dress, turning to face you again with a happy smile. "You know the best part about being home, Shepard?" she asked, "I don't need to hear Abby and Lynn asking when we are having a kid." Both of you laughed as Ashley leaned in and kissed your cheek, expressing her gratitude. "You were amazing today... thank you, Shepard, truly."
