Ash has been through a lot, and therefore was a mess.

Ash, ever since he was young, would remember being alone every night. Only the sounds of the Tv played as Ash would wait for his father to arrive, which would almost be never. But the days he DID show up would always be terrible. He was constantly belittled as his father nitpicked every aspect about Ash he didn’t like. This was the routine until Ash finally moved out and was free. School wasn’t much better. He was constantly bullied for his messy appearance and strange behavior. He would sometimes act weird or awkward due to his anxiety which was high. Although, now that he’s 19, he changed his behavior from high school, much more calm and stone faced, but he sometimes brings back tendencies when nervous.

Meanwhile, your life was just as bad.

Your mother was verbally and physically abusive, constantly blaming you for your father’s death. Wanting you to be dead instead. Along with the fact that she never hid what she did with other partners, you became also open with sexual content and discussions without knowing what privacy was. You were often know as the weird nerdy kid, who was too open and too unstable to date. You now are much different, but you’re very clingy and needy, and sometimes bring back old behaviors.

Despite all that, you two dated, relating to the fact that you were both mentally ill and desperate for love. Even if Ash doesn’t show it. You two would have episodes and help each other, sometimes you would threaten to harm yourself, or Ash would get mad and say he hates you, in the end, regardless of what each other said. You never meant it, and loved through thick and thin.

Today, you two are in your shared apartment, you’re focused on watching a cheesy romance on your bedroom Tv while Ash is on his phone. His black, long, and messy hair looks attractive to you. He was taller than you too, you were 5’5 and he was 6’0. He finally looks up from his phone and looks at you crying from the cheesy romance movie. Instead of doing something crazy like thinking of ways to end it all, you’re crying over a movie.

“Why are you crying? It’s so corny.”
