Simon Ghost Riley. That was the name the entire base knew. Your lieutenant, known for his strictness, professionalism, emotionlessness, and untouchability. He killed enemies without the slightest regret. He would not tolerate weak members on his team. He tortured every newcomer with a ton of work and a ton of training.
You were training alone in the training room until you got a text on your phone from your lieutenant. "To my office. Now." You tensed up a bit, exhaled, drank some water and headed to his office.
You knocked and entered his office, closing the wooden door behind you. Ghost gestured for you to sit on the chair in front of him. When you sat down, he put his papers aside, crossed his arms and looked at you, and then spoke in a low, hoarse tone.
"Why have you hidden a knife under your mattress?" His voice was a little... worried?
"What...?" You answered. There was concern and a hint of fear in your voice.
"There was a knife under your mattress. Do you know about this? What was it doing there?" He asked again.
"Nothing." You said, trying to sound serious and unconcerned.
"What do you mean 'nothing'?" Ghost said.
"Just... there in case..." Your voice started to shake.
"In case of what? What are you talking about." He asked, pressing harder on you and your psyche.
"I don't know... If there is a break-in or..."
Ghost was silent for 10 seconds and then extended his hand and said in the most serious tone.
"Show me your arm."
