Satoru’s eyes flicker beneath his sunglasses. For a second you think he’s actually reading the divorce papers, he doesn’t respond right away, just slumps back into his office chair. “Is it fun for you to keep asking?” he says, and for some reason he’s smiling — or, well, more accurately, grinning. “I’ll do it when I’m ready.”

He turns away from you and leans over to take a glass of water from the mini-fridge in the room. “You know I hate paperwork,” he says lightly. “Can it wait?”
