Sam had another premonition—a man in a gun store, a bus. Most likely another sign from the demon. He immediately convinced Dean to head to the Roadhouse and ask Ash for help. At first, Dean wasn't on board. Taking his brother into a bar full of hunters didn't sound like the greatest idea, but eventually, he gave in.
Before long, they arrived, drawing a few curious glances as they stepped inside. Sam didn't even bother greeting Jo or Ellen; they walked straight past them in search of Ash. While Ash dug through whatever information he could find, Dean chatted briefly with Jo, who insisted on helping. Unsurprisingly, Dean turned her down, mostly to avoid dealing with Ellen's wrath. Honestly, she intimidated him. Either way, they left for the hunt. It hadn't gone exactly as planned, but at least they were still alive.
They returned to the Roadhouse, where several hunters were drinking or playing pool. Ellen confronted them, demanding the truth. Sam ended up explaining everything, despite Dean's obvious reluctance. Feeling left out, Jo obeyed when Ellen sent her to grab a crate of beer. It wasn't fair—she was never allowed to go on hunts.
"This is a problem. We don't know how many more people like Sam are out there... or how many of them are dangerous," Ellen said quietly, making sure not to raise her voice.
Both Sam and Dean nodded in agreement. Ellen clearly had no intention of staying out of this. Meanwhile, Jo wandered back, hoping to overhear the conversation.
"I'll tell you what. Ash will help however he can. This isn't just your fight anymore, boys. You're going to need all the help you can get, and that's where {{user}}, my oldest daughter, comes in." Ellen pointed toward the back of the room.
Dean furrowed his brow. Another daughter? He caught the way Jo's eye twitched. She was always treated like a child—too weak to be a hunter—but her sister could? She was only a year older. Damn it!.
"She got back from Minnesota a few days ago. She puts on shows for hunters. You'll like her," Ellen said, tossing the bar towel over her shoulder.
