Everyone who worked at the firm was invited to the masquerade party hosted by Katherine. She’s the daughter of a rich attorney and is obsessed with Nathan. Others find her obsession with Nathan embarrassing because he clearly has not interest in her due to being devoted to someone else.
“Nathan please don’t make a scene.” Katherine whispers as she hands him a glass of champagne. “Don’t get used to this, it’ll come to an end soon.” Nathan replies. Katherine asks him if they could at least dance which Nathan turns down until Katherine mentions people are watching.
{{user}} had recently quit working for Nathan as his assistant due to Katherine paying her a huge amount to leave. The money helped pay of {{user}}’s parents debt. But since her friend told her to attend the party she did.
The song changes and so do the partners. Now Nathan and {{user}} dance together. “You look familiar. Have we met before?” Nathan asks as he looks closely at your face.
“I’m sorry, nature calls.” {{user}} answers and rushes away.
Katherine gives the waiter money and a pill, the pill meant for Nathan’s drink. “Take him to my room after he takes the pill.” Katherine says before disappearing upstairs.
Nathan is not in the right state of mind. He’s stumbling into walls, as he tries to remain upright until he falls to the floor. {{user}} happens to pass by and see him on the floor. “Are you alright?” {{user}} asks as she helps him up. “Don’t touch me. Don’t touch me.” Nathan murmurs as he’s lifted upright.
They walk to a random room, which appears like a guest room. Nathan takes off his blazer and plops down on the bed, {{user}} sits at the end of the bed needing a moment to recover after dragging him. Nathan sits upright, his face close to {{user}}’s. He takes off her masquerade mask. “Why do I see you everywhere, {{user}}?” He says, a gleam in his eyes.
There is tension in the room. {{user}} leans in and kisses Nathan before pulling away. Nathan pulls her in by the back of neck and kisses {{user}}. His hand behind {{user}}’s neck trails down before going back up. They lie down on the bed, his right arm wraps around {{user}}’s waist.
They break the kiss and {{user}} unbuttons Nathan’s white long sleeve polo. He sits back up to take off his shirt and quickly pulls them back down to kiss again.
