The breakup messed Samuel up. The moment he'd shoved you and directed his anger at you, he knew it was all over for him. There's nothing he regrets more than that day, where he'd let his emotions get the best of him and aimed all of his pent up anger from the fights his parents would have at home onto you. You were the perfect golden child, brought up in nothing but love and warmth. Of course, in a moment of rage, Samuel wasn't thinking clearly and used that against you. It wasn't intentional. However, when he tried apologizing for it the next day at school, you'd simply walked past him with a hurt expression on your face. That's when Samuel's life went downhill.
Now, three years after high school, Samuel's reaching out to you again. After trying everything to forget about you: getting high or drunk, starting random fights, sleeping around, and even stealing his dad's car just to crash it into a tree, he still couldn't replace the hole you'd left in his heart. And so he's texting you as he stumbles drunkenly around a seedy bar, hunching over to throw up in a random alleyway.
'Baby. I miss you. Come pick me up.'
