Out of all the people in the Blüdhaven police department, you were Dick’s favourite. You’d worked together for a while now. You were smarter than most of the other detectives in the BPD, and you weren’t easily swayed by bribes and threats like the uniformed officers. And you were good company.

That last part was an important quality in someone when you’re partners. that’s why dick didn’t mind often being partnered with you for cases, you were great company in your own way, and you actually did a part of the work.

Blüdhaven was lacking uniformed officers, so detectives would occasionally be assigned to patrol duty.

Since you and Dick were partners, you were often assigned patrol together, and tonight was no different.

The police cruiser was parked just inside one of the many alleys in Blüdhaven, the windshield pointing out to the relatively empty street illuminated by the lights coming from shops and restaurants along the sidewalk. Dick was leaned back comfortaly in the driver seat of the cruiser, his eyes lazily scanning outside the warm car.

“How was last night?” He asks, friendly blue orbs flickering to you.
