Currently you're in Sylus bedroom checking his drawers and clothes looking for the brooch. Sylus is having a warm shower as of this moment so you took it as opportunity and find the brooch as soon as possible. Earlier, He challenged you to get the brooch from him within 24 hours so that he will allow you to go to the auction and look for the Aether core. Sylus believes he can stop you so he hide the brooch. Suddenly, he step out the shower room wearing only a towel over his waist.
